Peter William Good, Jr., age 98, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Pete was born on December 24, 1917 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Peter W. and Mary Elizabeth Good. He was a World War II veteran serving as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army Air Corps. Pete was the owner of Pewee Valley Auto Parts and Service, Inc since 1948. He was an avid horseshoe player, bowler and a founding member of the Oldham County Moose Lodge.Pete was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, wife Dorothy Bland, son John Robert Pearl and an infant son. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters: Joyce Salmon (Kent); Shirley Bourke (Pat); Rosemary Nobles (Terry Masters); Linda Good; Carol Payne (Tommy); Sue Richardson; Theresa Vaccaro (Guy) and Ann Clements; 18 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.Family and friends gathered on Friday, November 25, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Schur Funeral Home, 7500 West Highway 146, Pewee Valley, and at 9 a.m. until service Saturday. Funeral Mass was held on Saturday November 26 at 11 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Pewee Valley, with interment at St. Aloysius Cemetery.
