Beloved mother, Petra "Tita" Medrano, 77, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2017. She was one of 11 children, born on January 27, 1940 in El Paso, TX to Enrique and Maria Felipa Medrano. She graduated from El Paso High School in 1959, and after continuing her education, she worked as an LVN her entire career. She was a lifelong devout Catholic and loving mother to her child. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings Elisa Medrano (age 13), Pedro Medrano (age 1), Margarita Claudio, Jose Enrique Medrano, Pedro Medrano, and Ester Cordova. She is survived by her son Mark Michael Medrano; her brothers Mario and Manuel Medrano; her sisters Elisa Salas and Maria Estela Valenzuela, as well as numerous nieces and nephews."What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him." Corinthians 2:9. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00pm on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30am on Friday, June 2, 2017 at St. Patrick Cathedral Catholic Church, 1118 N Mesa St. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
