Phil Shimkaveg, 69, passed on February 09, 2022. He was born to Albert and Margaret Shimkaveg in Baltimore, Maryland on May 15, 1952.

Phil graduated from Mt. St. Joseph's High School in 1970 and received a degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 1975.

Phil worked at NASA, where he enjoyed a career of lifelong learning, until he retired in 2015. Phil had a great interest in science and space exploration, and he loved music and playing guitar.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on July 14 at the Church of the Nativity, 20 E. Ridgely Road, Timonium, MD 21093 @ 11 AM.
