Phillip was born on February 23, 1956, in Willisburg, Kentucky. From an early age, it was clear that he possessed immense potential and a passion for making a difference. He pursued his education with great determination and graduated from Willisburg High School in 1974.

Following high school, Phillip embarked on a remarkable journey, driven by his desire to create a positive impact. He enrolled at the renowned University of Kentucky, where he studied sociology and graduated with honors in 1978.

Phillip's dedication to helping others led him to pursue a career in social work. He tirelessly advocated for the less fortunate, advocating for their rights, and providing much-needed support to those in need. His commitment and compassion touched the lives of countless individuals, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.

Beyond his professional achievements, Phillip was a pillar of strength and love for his family and friends. His infectious laughter, warm smile, and gentle nature made everyone feel welcome and loved in his presence. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Catherine, for over 40 years, and together they built a loving home that was always open to those in need of comfort and support.

Phillip is survived by his beloved wife, Catherine, his loving children, Michael and Sarah, his adoring grandchildren, Emily and Benjamin, and his siblings, James and Laura. He also leaves behind a large extended family and a community that adored him.
