Phoebe Perry Phoebe Perry a longtime county resident died on Friday, November 25, 2016 at the age of 97. Phoebe was born on April 24, 1919 in Taunton, Massachusetts. She moved at an early age to a fruit ranch by San Jose, CA. In 1940 she married Antone (Tony) Perry, a county native, and moved to a dairy ranch outside of Cayucos. In 1962 they moved to a house in San Luis Obispo, where she spent the rest of her life. She went to work at J.C. Pennys where she worked for almost 20 years. After retiring, she enjoyed volunteering for different clubs and Portuguese lodges, she worked as a volunteer at U.V.S Thrift Store for over 10 years. Phoebe was preceded in death by her husband Antone Perry in 1990. She will be missed by her family, including her daughter, Pearl Perry of Atascadero, her son Larry (Joanna (Joey)) of Sequim, WA, 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 3pm to 7pm at Reis Family Mortuary in San Luis Obispo. A rosary will be recited at 9:30am at the Old Mission Catholic Church on Friday, December 2, 2016 with a mass to follow at 10:00am. Burial will conclude at the Old Mission Catholic Cemetery.
