Phyllis Ann Havens 1942 - 2016Phyllis Ann Havens, 74, of Springfield, passed away on Friday November 25, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born on March 18, 1942 in White Hall to James and Myrtle Miller Akers. She married James William Havens and they later divorced.Mrs. Havens is survived by her daughter Lynnette (David) Martin of Springfield; her son Jim (Jennifer) Havens of Normal; grandchildren: Jimmy, Maddie and Tobey Havens and Grant Martin; her mother Myrtle Akers of Carlinville; two sisters: Doris Davidson of Springfield and Barbara (Vernon Jr.) Davis of Brighton; two nephews; a grandniece and grandnephew. She was preceded in death by her father, and brother-in-law, John S. Davidson.Phyllis graduated from Winchester High School and Quincy Beauty Academy, and she attended Lincoln Land Community College. Mrs. Havens was a lighting consultant in the Lighting Center, a division of Springfield Electric Supply Company where she was the first female to win the Glen Carroll Award of Excellence for outstanding customer service. She loved spending time with her family, traveling and her pets.A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday November 30, 2016 at Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 Koke Mill Road with burial to follow at Farmington Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 11:30 am until the time of service Wednesday at Bisch West. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
