Phyllis Joanne Wessell, age 90, died at home on Wednesday, October 25, 2017. She passed peacefully in the presence of loved ones.

Born October 6, 1927, in Montpelier, Ohio, she lived in Michigan, Washington, and Oregon before returning to Lacey, Washington with her husband, Calvin, for the remainder of their retirement years together. She was a homemaker and caregiver. She also had fond memories of working at Green River Community College when she and Calvin lived in Auburn, Washington.

Phyllis Joanne was often referred to as "Jo" or Joanne. She loved spending time with family, reading, playing card games, going to the casino and working on word puzzles. She was known for her strong personality and caring nature.

Survivors include her daughters, Deb and Sharon; as well as, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Phyllis Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin, and her sons, John and Bill.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, November 3rd, at Sunset Hills Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 1215 145th Place SE, Bellevue, WA 98007. Relatives and friends are welcome at the service and reception.
