This obituary is administered by:

Phyllis Lee Reece, 76, went to be with the Lord on August 26, 2020 at 5:35 in the afternoon, surrounded by her family. She was born to Hugh Graham and Grace Hollins in Richmond, Virginia on May 31, 1944. She graduated from Manchester High School. She married Harvey Dale Reece Senior in 1961 and they lived together in Richmond, Virginia. Together they raised five children. Phyllis devoted her life to being a homemaker and raising her children. She was also a devoted Christian. She prided herself on being the best Mamaw to all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, crafting, cooking, raising koi in her pond and her Christian music. She loved to re-arrange her furniture on a weekly basis! She was quite the sassy-fashionista!

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Grace Hollins, her children Angelia Rubio and Little Jimmy, mother-in-law Belle McMillian, brother-in-laws, Jimmy Reece, Lewis Fitzgerald and Sherman Wingate, and her son-in-law Allen Vest.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Dale, four children Harvey Dale Reece (Connie), Kim Vest, Heidi Stinnett (Greg), and Christopher Reece (Emily), nine grandchildren Victoria Cooper (Richard), Dawn Young (Warren), Krystin Dowdy (Ryan), Christopher Reece Jr., Chelsea Dale Rubio (father, Beto), Sabrinia Clements (Brent), Kirkland, Tyler, Hailey, eleven great-grandchildren, Paisley, Aleeya, Emma, Aubry, Adallen, Graham, Knox, Liam, Charlotte, Landon, Skylar, sisters Jackie Fitzgerald and Helen Wingate, as well nieces and nephews and many friends. She will be deeply missed by all of those who loved her most.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 6, 2020 at 2 PM in the afternoon for immediate family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Phyllis' name to St. Jude.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of the MSTICU at Chippenham Hospital for their loving care and dedication.
