Phyllis M. Harder, 95, of Oostburg passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Pine Haven Christian Residential Home in Oostburg. Phyllis was born on August 13, 1921 in Blue Earth, MN to Hans and Marie (Simser) Hinrichsen. She was a 1940 graduate of Blue Earth High School. On April 7, 1943, she married Donald Harder in San Antonio, TX. Don and Phyllis lived in the Fairmont, MN area for many years. Phyllis was a dedicated wife and mother.Phyllis was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Oostburg. She was involved in Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts and the Fairmont Youth Council.Phyllis is survived by her husband of 74 years, Donald of Oostburg; one daughter, Janee (Paul) McCallum of Federal Way, WA; one son, Douglas (Joni) Harder of Glendale, AZ; three grandchildren, Mark (Tina) Hall, Scott (Angela) Hall and Matt (Dannyel) Hall; and five great grandchildren.Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, John, Milden and Howard Henrichsen.A memorial service to celebrate Phyllis's life will be held at Noon on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the First Presbyterian Church in Oostburg, with Bill VerVelde officiating. Inurnment will be at Hartman Cemetery in the Town of Wilson.Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday at the church from 11 am until the time of service at Noon.
