We are saddened to announce the passing of Portia Brown on September 20, 2025, in New Albany, Indiana. She was born on February 18, 1967, to her loving parents, Arthur McPheeters and Bernice Brown.

Portia was a beloved wife to Ray Morton, whom she married in 2017. Together, they had three children - Dwayne Brown, Melia Denny, and Makaila Denny, all of whom she adored. She also leaves behind four adoring grandchildren.

Portia had a zest for life and enjoyed soul music, parties, and spending time with her friends and family. She was known for her infectious laughter and ability to light up any room she entered.

Portia will be remembered for her kind heart, contagious smile, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
