Predicanda Madrid, 83, a lifetime resident of Leyba, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012.She was born on Jan. 23, 1929, in Aurora. N.M., to Benjamin Encinias and Adelaida Gallegos-Encinias.She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She and her husband served as Mayordomos for the San Francisco Church in Leyba for many many years. She was a seamstress for the Gonzales Ranch schools, she was the best cook, loved to shop, and she loved to help her family and neighbors.She was a Catholic and attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Villanueva.She was preceded in death by her parents: Benjamin and Adelaida Encinias; brothers: Willie, Pete, Pablo, and Eddie Encinias; grandsons: Rico Lujan, Isaiah Montoya, and Isaiah Smith; numerous sisters and brothers-in-law.She is survived by her husband: Josefre Madrid of the family home, daughters: Lydia Encinias and husband Faustin of Clovis, Theresa Sanchez and husband Lincoln of Moriarty, Rachael McPherson and husband Bill of Clovis, Gloria Encinias and husband Phillip of Portales, Olivia Lujan and husband Danny of Las Vegas; sons: Mike Madrid and wife Gloria of Albuquerque, J.R. Madrid and wife Tina of Clovis, Daniel Madrid and wife Debbie, Marvin Madrid and wife Regina of Las Vegas, Mark Sanchez and wife Lynn of Moriarty; 24 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson; sisters: Marcella Encinias of Las Vegas, Bennie Lucero and husband Orlando of Villanueva, Emma Encinias of Moriarty; brothers: Anivar Encinias and wife Lourdes of Aurora, Alex Encinias of Moriarty, Cosme Encinias of Villanueva; sisters-in-law: Deluvina Encinias of Moriarty, and Cecilia Encinias of Gonzales Ranch; numerous nieces, nephews, god-children, other relatives, and friends.Public viewing was held all day on Sunday at Rogers Chapel in Las Vegas.Rosary services were held Sunday at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Las Vegas.Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church with Father George V. Salazar as celebrant. Interment will be at the San Isidro de Labarado Cemetery in Gonzales Ranch with the following serving as casket bearers: Adrian Lopez, Armando Encinias, John Tenorio, Sammy Villanueva, Dylin Lujan, and Ray Madrid.
