After a protracted battle with cancer, Priscilla Guevara-Palacios was called home by GOD on March 14, 2017 at the age of 40. She leaves behind her husband, Noel Palacios; and her daughters, Druscylla and Anyssa; parents Rafael Sr. and Alicia and brother Rafael Jr. Priscilla was born on August 9, 1976 in El Paso, TX, to father Rafael Guevara, Sr. and mother Alicia G. Guevara. She grew up in a loving family with her brother Rafael Jr. She graduated Top Ten of her senior class at Del Valle High School, excelling in many extra-curricular activities. She continued her undergraduate studies at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas before returning home to El Paso. Priscilla was an ambitious professional with a love for music and sports. Above all, her biggest self-proclaimed accomplishment was that of being a wife and mother to her family. Her relentless drive to provide for her family every single day was compelling and admired by others. Those that knew Priscilla described her as a person with an infectious smile, selfless attitude, playful demeanor, and strong faith in GOD. When diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014, she remained dedicated to her family and in her determination to fight her sickness. She remained brave, strong in faith and playful throughout her final months. Visitation March 19, 2017 from 4-8 p.m., rosary 6 p.m. at San Jose Funeral Home-East.
