Queen Esther Jones, 77, of Chino Hills, California, passed on August 18. 2021. Queen was born on July 05 1943 in Baton Rouge Louisiana. She was the daughter of the late Willie Buddy Jones, and Flora Mae Jones. She was a member of Saint John Baptist Church, where she served faithfully on the Ushers and Mothers Boards. The girl who faced racism and sexism in the segregated South, where she rode in the back of the bus created her own path. Queen Jones was smart, passionate and relentlessly hard working. She was formerly employed as a certified nursing assistant. She retired as a business owner. She personally provided rooms, board, meals, health care-and a loving safe environment with 24 hour live in care; from the comforts of her home for seniors citizens, disabled and foster children. She also volunteered her time working in the kitchen of St. John Baptist Church. She was a dedicated mother, sister, grandmother and friend, who will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Father, Willie Buddy Jones, Mother Flora Mae Jones. Brothers: Willie Lee Jones, James Jones, Samuel Lee Jones, Eddie Mac Jones. Sisters: Christina Jones, Gertie Mae Washington, Dorothy Jelks, and Linda Mae Guard. Sons: Quintin and Kevin Jackson and grandson Devinne Enish Raymond.
Left to cherish her precious memories are: Sons: Michael/ Denise Teague, Robert/ Tiffany Teague, Vincent /Pearl Jones, Lorenzo Page; Daughter, Veronica/ Joseph Graham. Sister, Delores and husband Eddie Richard, Brother Wayne Jones and a host of grand children and great grand children, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
