DALLASTOWN Ralph D. Harmon, 86, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, February 9. He was the beloved husband of 51 years to Sylvia (Rennoll) Harmon. Mr. Harmon was born on December 8, 1928 in Crossroads and was the son of the late John M. and Etoil E. (DeLauter) Harmon. Ralph was self-employed as a builder for the last 45 years. Prior to being self- employed he worked for G.A. and F.C. Wagman as a bridge builder, and later Chauncey Deller and Son Builders. He was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Dallastown and previously Hopewell Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the York County Builders Association and was a member and attended Steam -O-Rama. He and his wife enjoyed spending time in the Florida Keys and West Virginia. In addition to his wife, Ralph is survived by his twin brother, Randal R. Harmon and his wife, Cecilia of Dallastown; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Helen Uffelman, Nora McCullough, June Steinruck; and a brother, Clark Harmon, who was killed in action during World War II. A funeral service to honor Ralph's life will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, February 13 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 109 E. Main St., Dallastown, with the Rev. Roger Mentzer officiating. A viewing will be held Friday at the church and will begin at 10 a.m.until the start of the services. Interment will follow in Hopewell Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
