Ralph M. FogleRalph M. Fogle, 76, passed away on June 27, 2017 with his wife by his side. He was born on April 11, 1941 in North Canton to the late Ralph and Evelyn Fogle. Ralph grew up in Massillon and graduated from Washington High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Kent State University. He retired from a career working for the City of Akron in various capacities, primarily in the Health Department. During his retirement, he and his wife adventured throughout the United States delivering expedited freight. They then settled in West Lafayette, Ohio, where Ralph and Darlena had a farm with many animals. He also returned to environmental work at the Coshocton County Health Department. Ralph was an avid and rugged outdoorsman, skilled woodworker, and gunsmith. He built a log cabin from trees felled on land that he owned and passed time in his later years building boats. He passed his passion for the outdoors and working with his hands on to others in the family. Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Darlena; his children, Ronald Fogle (Cathy) and Susan Fogle-Spinner (J.D.) and their mother, Marge Fogle; stepchildren, Tammie Davis-Osler (Chad) and Sarah Henry and their children; sister, Linda "Moop" Sage (Tim); grandchildren, Russell and Erin Fogle, Jacob, Noah, Margie, and Katy Spinner. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 1:30 pm at Arlington Memorial Baptist Church, 2330 E. Market St., Akron, Pastor Dave Bogue officiating.
