Mozilo, Ralph Salvatore was born on January 30, 1942 in the Bronx, New York to Ralph and Pauline Mozilo. He graduated from Iona College in 1963 and began teaching Spanish to high school students in New York. In 1971, he began his career in Mortgage Banking, and retired in 1999 at the age of 57. Ralph lived his life to the fullest, volunteering in Uganda with Watoto, helping build homes for orphans; supporting Disciples Nations Alliance in countries around the world fostering entrepreneurship; traveling to Honduras with medical teams to translate as they provided medical services to under-served populations; and locally with the Foothill Caring Corps. Ralph also served as Vice-Mayor of Cave Creek and as a member of the Town Council for several terms. He loved to travel and took wonderful and epic journeys around the world since retirement. Ralph died on December 30, 2016, at age 74, after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife Patricia, his children Tom, Lisa, Chris, Jay, and Cori, his 8 grandchildren, his 4 siblings, and countless relatives. He is preceded in death by his son, Ralph Jr., his daughter Lisa Carol, his mother, father, and his Uncle Mike. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Ralph can be made to Watoto or the Foothill Caring Corps.
