Ralph Earl Wells1932 - 2014Ralph Earl Wells of Powers Lake, Wis., passed away Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014. He was born on June 19, 1932, the son of the late Raymond and Elva (Ross) Wells. On April 27, 1957, he was united in marriage to DNarda (Dee) Nelson in Lake Geneva. He was the owner of Wells Spiral Stairs in Genoa City, Wis., and the Richmond Flea Market in Richmond, Ill. He served in the United States Army in Korea and received the Korean Service Ribbon with two Bronze Service Stars and the Merit Unit Citation.He was a long time Powers Lake resident and Powers Lake Yacht Club member, and restored several boats. He was a metallurgical engineer, private pilot, and especially enjoyed restoring his 1965 Lincoln Continental convertible.He is survived by his wife, and his two children, Lory (Paul) Taylor of Rochester, N.Y., and Steven (Wendy) Wells of Johnsburg, Ill.; two grandsons, Mathew and Kevin Wells; his sister, Alice Huizinga of Wheaton, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond.Private family services were held on Jan. 16, 2014. A Celebration of Ralphs life will be held at a later date.
