With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Rana Gidron Walker on June 2, 2024, due to complications following a tragic accident. Born on July 1, 1971, Rana was 52 years old. Her life, marked by love, kindness, and unwavering faith, left an indelible impact on all who knew her.

Rana was the beloved wife of Darrell Walker. The couple met a few years after high school, having been high school sweethearts. They shared a beautiful love story, building a life together filled with joy, laughter, and mutual respect. Their bond was a testament to true love and devotion.

A dedicated mother, Rana cherished her two sons, Devere Walker and Devonte Walker. She poured her heart into raising them, providing them with unconditional love, guidance, and support. Her sons were her pride and joy, and her legacy of love lives on through them. She also adored her three grandchildren, Ethan, Ava, and Olivia, who brought light and happiness into her life. She was a doting grandmother, always ready with a warm hug and a kind word.

Rana graduated from Wendell Phillips High School in 1988. Her passion for the culinary arts led her to Truman College, where she graduated in 2000 with a degree in Culinary Arts. She pursued her love of cooking with creativity and dedication, delighting family and friends with her culinary talents.

In addition to her culinary career, Rana was a successful entrepreneur. She owned a business specializing in custom-made birthday cards and various other personalized items. Her creativity and attention to detail brought joy to many, as she crafted unique, heartfelt creations for all occasions.

Family was central to Rana’s life. She was the dear sister of Anita Gidron, Carla Gidron, and Sophia Gidron. The bond between these sisters was unbreakable, filled with shared memories, laughter, and mutual support. They stood by each other through all of life’s ups and downs, embodying the true meaning of sisterhood.

Rana was predeceased by her loving mother, Theresa Gidron, and her cherished uncles, Michael Easter and Daryl Easter. Their memories were always close to her heart, and she now joins them in eternal peace.
