Randall Scott Bergeron Obituary

Feb 15, 1968 - Aug 16, 2024

This obituary is administered by:

The life of Randall Scott Bergeron was taken too early as he passed away on August 16, 2024, in Mobile, Alabama surrounded by his family and partner after succumbing to a brief illness.

Randy, as everyone knew him, was born on February 15, 1968, to Edward Charles Bergeron Sr. and Dorothy Nell Cantrell Bergeron. He is survived by his four children: Richard Austin Perre Bergeron, Morgan Olivia Bergeron, Meghan Catherine Bergeron, and Molly Grace Bergeron, partner, Margaret Lynn Roberson, brother Edward Charles Bergeron Jr. (Gina) and Deborah Lynn Hebert (Woody) as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews. Randy deeply loved his family, and their sadness and pain is comforted with wonderful memories of Randy through the years.

Randy was known for his love of cooking and his quick wit. Whether he was recreating his mother's infamous dishes for family gatherings or trying new recipes in the kitchen, his passion for food always brought joy to those around him. He loved all things surrounding the food industry and spent his career in various aspects of the business from production to service to retail. He found great pleasure in creating new dishes and got even greater pleasure serving others his latest culinary collaborations.

Randy graduated from Grace King High School and attended Louisiana State University. He loved LSU Tigers but even more so was a true diehard New Orleans Saints fan. If you listen closely this season, you will hear him cheering his Saints on with each and every game.

Randy will be remembered for the enduring love he had for his children, his greatest accomplishment and biggest joy. His keen sense of humor and ability to bring people together with a delicious meal will always be the reason that those that knew him will smile when he is remembered.

The family would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, Mississippi and University of South Alabama Hospital in Mobile, Alabama for their extraordinary efforts in the medical management of Randy. Their clinical expertise while conveying empathy at the end of his life will be forever close to hearts.

Rest in peace, Randy. You will be deeply missed.
