Ransom Lampkin Jr., known to all as "Sonny", passed on February 20, 2022, at the age of 76. He was born to Ransom Lampkin Sr and Helen McDaniels in Los Angeles, California on February 11, 1946.
He fathered 5 beautiful children- Trina Lampkin, DeMarco Lampkin, Auquanette Lampkin-Graves, Jared Lampkin, and Jerry Lampkin. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, Joemar, Bakari, DeMarco II, Marceil, Darshanae, Le'Shaniece, Shau'Nette, Alexis, Jai'La, Jerriah, Jerry, Jared B, Jareka, and Ezekiel, 9 great-grandchildren, Sisters Helen Allen and Anita Lampkin, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
"Sonny" is preceded in death by his mother, Helen Clayton, Father, Ransom Lampkin Sr., Brother, Sonder Ray Lampkin, Sisters, Patricia Clayton, Karen Webster, and Step-Son, Geordell Davis.
"Sonny" attended Markham and Freemont High Schools.
"Sonny" worked at Assisted Living Facilities and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people. He also volunteered at the Recovery Therapy Center as a Rehabilitation Counselor. He loved dancing to the best music. "Watcha See Is Watcha Get" by the dramatics was ONE of his favorite songs. "Sonny" loved having fun and lived life freely. He later dedicated his life to baptism as one of Jehovah's Witnesses following in his mother's footsteps.

But my "Sonny" days will carry on
You'll forever be embedded in my heart
Although at times we were worlds apart
