Raphael "Ray" ToroAGE: 77 • CliffwoodRaphael "Ray" Toro, 77, of Cliffwood, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 10, 2017 at Perth Amboy Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Rafael, better known as "Ray" by his family and friends, was born on September 7, 1939 in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, where he spent his early childhood years. In the mid 40's, Ray and his family settled in Hell's Kitchen, New York, he then resided in Newark, Laurence Harbor and Port Reading, before settling in Cliffwood, New Jersey. Ray owned and operated, Toro & Son's Janitorial Services in Laurence Harbor. Ray always had a smile, joke, or kind word for everyone he met, and was famously known for his quick wit. He had a happy go lucky personality. Ray is survived by his children, Michael Toro (Alicia Remus), Robert Toro (Suzanne), Elizabeth Bly (Michael), Ralph Toro (Maryanne) and Richard Toro (Justine) his Companion, Constance Gavin and the mother of his children, Gloria Batterson, his dear siblings, Delores Amigliore (Joseph) and Marie Mullis (Bill). Ray is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Michael, Jamie, Carly, Samantha and Richard. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him and loved him.Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, April 14, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.
