It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ray Roger Rummel, a beloved father, grandfather, husband, and friend. Ray passed away on October 16, 2024, at the age of 78.
Born on September 29, 1946 in Atwood, Kansas, After graduating from high school, he went on to serve his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, where he earned commendations for his dedication and courage.
After his service, Ray started his long career in BNSF Railroad, working for 34 years until his retirement in 2006.
Outside of work, Ray enjoyed riding his Harley, fixing anything with a motor, Spending time with his family and helping any family, friend or even acquaintance with anything he could.
Ray is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Maureen Rummel; his four children; Ryan Rummel, Kevin (Rummel (Jessica), Erin Rummel (Ryan) and Rachael Rummel; his thirteen grandchildren, Fenina, Rebekah, Izzy, Elijah, Hannah Honey, Trinity, Hill, Roy, Royal, Ceci, Marina, Brecklen, and Brielle. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Roland, Richard and Rodney Rummel.

Ray will be remembered for his generosity, his dedication to family, and his willingness to help anyone. His spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
