Ray Stockdale Cumberland Furnace , TNVernon Ray Stockdale, age 80, of Cumberland Furnace, Tn., passed away at his residence on May, 26, 2017. A Celebration of life will be held 3:30 p.m. Sunday May 28, 2017 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Capel with Rev. Ken Andrews officiating, burial will follow at Marion UMC Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 12 p.m. until the hour of the service. Vernon was born on December 25, 1936, son of the late Vernon Roe Stockdale and Delma Morrison Stockdale. He served in the National Guard and retired from Trane Co. and was a farmer. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers. Survivors include his wife, Lynda Wall Stockdale; daughter, Patricia (Todd) Woodard; step-son; Eric (Cynthia) Sucher Jr.; step-daughters, Savannah (Bobby) Thomas, Erica (Alex) Rodriguez; brother, Billy (Alice) Stockdale; sister, Evelyn Smith; grandchildren, Kyle Hayes, Adalynn Rodriguez, Jaxson Thomas, Wade Thomas, and Ellie Sucher.
