Raymond A. RuckerMOUNT PERRY: Raymond A. Rucker, 93, of Mount Perry, passed away on Monday June 1, 2015.He was born on June 16, 1921 in Muskingum County. He served in the
United States Navy during
World War II. He graduated from Zanesville High School in 1939. He worked at Columbia Cement and Central Ohio Coal. He loved playing baseball and enjoyed watching the New York Yankees on television and watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports. He also enjoyed coon hunting.He is survived by one son, Greg (Cindy) Rucker; one daughter, Sandra Barnes; two brothers, Terry (Sandy) Rucker and Randy (Kathie) Rucker; two sisters, Georgetta Orndorff and Dorothy Gross; grandchildren, Carrie (Brad) Smith, Katie (Josh) Leasure, Tim (Lucy) Rucker, and Tiffany (Michael) Peters; great-grandchildren, Grant Rucker, Reece Rucker, Nate Leasure, and Corbin Rucker. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Jane (Harvey) Rucker; his parents, Grant and Mary Rucker; one son, Timothy Grant Rucker. Private visitation and funeral services will be held at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 5765 Gladstone Drive, White Cottage. Pastor Geoff Geyer officiating. Burial will be in Fultonham Cemetery.
