Raymond Brozewicz Sr., age 89, of Greene Township, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born on March 24, 1927, a son of the late John and Joanna Mozuch Brozewicz. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Helen Spath Brozewicz; three brothers, Walter and Joseph Brozewicz, and John Rychick; five sisters, Helen Hough, Pearl Cebe, Cecilia Barczynski, Eleanor Sobucki, and Joann Matts; and a granddaughter, Brenda Fraley. He is survived by four sons, Raymond Brozewicz of Erie, John Brozewicz of Amity Township, Joseph Brozewicz, wife Lynne, of Erie, and Dr. Richard Brozewicz, wife Dr. Erinn, of Erie; one daughter, Diane Fraley of Marietta, Ga.; many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren; and step-grandchildren, Lisa, Rachael, Matt, Shari, Trina, Adam, Andrew, Emma, and Josh; and a great-granddaughter, Elloise Broussard. Raymond served in the U.S. Army in Germany at the end of World War II, under General George Patton. He was a member of General Patton's Honor Guard and was present at the General's funeral. Ray was honorably discharged and then served 50-plus years as a member of Iron Worker Local #348 and Local #3. In later years, Ray enjoyed spending time with his family and gardening. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be private.
