Raymond HuntOctober 17, 1938 - April 4, 2014Raymond Royce Hunt passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014 at home, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on October 17, 1938, in Caldwell Idaho, the fourth of five children born to Levina and Leonard Hunt. Raymond was mostly raised on a farm, until he left school and began working in construction with his oldest brother Leonard. After working together, Raymond began working as a salesman selling cookware, traveling across the entire United States including Alaska. After selling cookware for years, Raymond returned to the construction industry for 15 years. He then began selling insurance for Blue Cross of Idaho. He was still working for Blue Cross at the time of his death, and was an accomplished salesman receiving many national awards. Raymond loved to fish and hunt with his life companion, Shirlie Meyer and brother Richard, and enjoyed reloading ammunition as a hobby. He is survived by his best friend and soul-mate, Shirlie Meyer of Nampa, Idaho, his brother Richard Hunt of Bliss, Idaho, as well as two sons and a daughter and numerous nieces and nephews. At Raymond's request, there will be no funeral service. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Faye Hunt and Mary Helen (Hunt) Huffer and his brother Leonard. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Raymond will be greatly missed. Arrangements are with Boise Funeral Home Aclesa Chapel.
