Blow, 79, died Thursday March 23, 2017 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, with his loving family by his side.Raymond was born on September 13, 1937 in Burlington, the son of Roger and Albina ( Bushway ) Blow.He had served in the
U.S. Navy during the
Korean Conflict.Ray married Esther Fisher on October 5, 1965 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in So. Hero.He had worked for Thermal Wire, for Wright & Morrissey, Kencliff and Pizzagalli Consturction. Ray did landscaping for many years and also owned and operated "Ray Blow and Sons Rubbish Removal" for many years. He then worked for the City of Burlington water treatment plant, where he retired with over 25 years of service.He continued working at the transfer station in Grand Isle for many years retiring, again, in June.Raymond loved to grow tomatoes, ice fishing, mowing his lawn, horse racing, NASCAR and his beloved New York Yankees. He was also a member of the
VFW & American Legion.He and Esther renewed their wedding vows in 2015 at St. Rose of Lima.Above everything else, Raymond loved his family who survive him. His wife Esther of Grand Isle, his sons Roger and his wife Patricia of Colchester and Bradley and his wife Cynthia of Grand Isle, his grandchildren Amber, Trenton, Chelsea and Brandon, and his great grandson Charlie, his brother Henry (Joyce) Blow, his sisters Theresa Steady and Thelma Farewell, his sister-in-law Eileen Blow, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by his son Krager, his parents Roger and Albina, his in-laws Martin & Esther Fisher, his sister Frances Parrott, his brother Sherman Blow and brothers-in-law Raymond Parrott and Wilfred (Bud ) Farewell.He will be truly missed by all.Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday March 28, 2017 from 4-7 pm in the Minor Funeral & Cremation Center in Milton.A Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Fr. Thomas Nadeau will be held on Wednesday March 29, 2017 at 11 am in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in So. Hero.Memorial contributions may be made to the Grand Isle Rescue, P.O.
