Saiz, Raymond Raymond Saiz, 73, passed away June 30, 2017 at his home in Laveen, Arizona, surround by his family. Ray was a warm, loving, generous, and devoted family man that loved going to the casino. His presence in all our lives will be greatly missed. Ray was born on October 10, 1943 in New Mexico to Adolfo Saiz and Alvina Saiz. Ray proudly served in the
United States Navy as a Signalman Third Class SM3 (E-4) aboard the USS Midway (CVA41) from 1961 to 1964 and again later in the US Army National Guard and was Honorable Discharged for his service. Ray proudly served the citizens of the State of Arizona for 32 years working for the Department of Economic Security and retired from public service in 2003 as an Assistant Program Manager. Ray was married to Patricia Saiz and together they raised their family of 5 children in a loving home in Glendale, Arizona. Ray is survived by his wife Patricia Saiz, his children Teresa Larrabee, Jonathan Saiz, Julie Owen, Cindy Saiz and Reina Nottingham; his siblings Benny Saiz, Adolfo Saiz, Angel Saiz, Frances Pearce, Esperanza Montenegro, 18 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents Adolfo Saiz and Alvina Saiz and his siblings Reina Cobos, Lucy Jaime, Raul Saiz, and Eva Nunez. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday July 23, 2017 from 2:30pm to 5:30pm at the American Legion Post 41 in Phoenix, Arizona. Ray will be interned at the VA Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona.
