Ramon Gilberto Salazar passed peacefully, surrounded by his family on Sept. 27, 2013, in Denver, Colo. Ramon was born on July 8, 1934 to the late Pedro and Carmelita Lucero Salazar in San Ignacio. He preceded in death by his wife, Carmen Salazar; late life companion, Gloria Naranjo; sister, Nicolasa Solano; and brother, Eutimio Salazar.He is survived by his four children, Isabel Garcia and husband, John, Ray Salazar and wife, Mabel, Marlene Salazar and husband, Adan Hernandez, and George Salazar all of Denver, Colo.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Dave Salazar, Pete Salazar, Larry Salazar, Paul Salazar, Ernest Salazar, Dolores Silva, Theresa Salazar, Josie Castellano, Mary Mascarenas; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives .Rosary services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas. Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with Father Douglas Mitchell as celebrant.
