We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and partner, Rebecca Kelly, who was born on July 18, 1945, in Laplace, Louisiana, United States. She peacefully departed this world on April 27, 2024.

Rebecca was born to the late John Willie McClean and the late Willie Mae Brown. She was the loving partner of the late George Lee. Rebecca is survived by her nine children: Cozell Kelly and spouse Joann Kelly, Vincent Kelly and spouse Sadie Kelly, Keithen Kelly and spouse Erica Kelly, Anthony Kelly and spouse Kendra Battie, James Kelly and spouse Sheri Kelly, Detroy Kelly, the late Leon Kelly, the late Chanel Kelly Johnson, and stepchild Darryl Braggs and spouse Lisa Braggs.

Rebecca was a dedicated mother and grandmother, and she leaves behind ten grandchildren. She attended Alfred Bonnabel Magnet Academy High School and later pursued a career as a school bus driver, housekeeper, and nursing assistant.

Rebecca had a kind and generous spirit, always putting her family first. She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, attending church services, and playing bingo in her free time.

Rebecca will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
