Rebecca Bratis, 95, of Franklinville, New Jersey, passed on April 08, 2023.

Rebecca was born and raised in Franklinville, to the late Kenneth Booker, and Alice (Williams). Beloved wife to her husband, Harry Bratis. Beloved sister to Grace Booker and Elmer Booker. Devoted mother to Marie McEvoy, Lorraine Giffiear, Rebecca Preston, Robert Bratis, and Sony Bratis. Loving grandmother of 19 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 2 great - great grandchildren.

Rebecca was always known for her love of the outdoors, for anytime you would see her, she was outside focused on an activity. You could find her helping her husband Harry, with his plant nursery, “Bratis Nursery.” She was always in the greenhouse planting plowers, or cuttings from the various trees they would grow. When she wasn’t in the greenhouses, you could find her at her vacation home in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina. Her and her husband would spend numerous days at this vacation home, participating in activities such as discovering new trails, hunting, fishing, and just sitting on the back porch admiring the scenery. Rebecca was “pure country” at heart, and she loved country western and bluegrass music. She almost always had a radio in the background playing her favorite country songs. Rebecca always knew how to light up everyone’s day and put a smile on their faces. She always brightened the room and seemed to make the world a better place.

Rebecca was a dedicated Wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, and most of all, loved spending time with her family. She was loved immensely by all. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Monday from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, where a service will be held at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heartland Hospice, 190 N. Evergreen Ave., Suite 122, Woodbury, NJ 08096 and/or to the Franklin Twp. Ambulance Corp. 1672 Coles Mill Road, Franklinville, NJ 08322.
