Rebecca "Jane" Stegall Lauderdale passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 84. She was born on Saturday, December 26, 1931, in Smith County, Mississippi to the late Jessie Gay McClain Stegall and Vardaman James Stegall. She was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana.She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, who loved her home and watched over her family with great care. She lived her life with Southern grace and charm and was greatly loved by everyone she met. Moma Jane will be deeply missed. Jane is survived by her children and their spouses, Vicki Blackwell, James "Bubba" Lauderdale, Denise and Steve Grigas, Alan and Sandra Lauderdale, and Steve and Wendy Lauderdale; brother, V.J. Stegall; sister, Lenora Schuyler. Also survived by her adoring 12 grandchildren, Kalli Jane Peterman, Jason Blackwell, Lacey Lauderdale, Bailie Lauderdale, Landon Lauderdale, Laikyn Lauderdale, Brent Grigas, Lane Grigas, Marley Lauderdale, Tonya Woods, Jared Lauderdale, and Brock Lauderdale; and 6 great-grandchildren, Jax Peterman, Knox Peterman, Ellie Jane Peterman, Rye Lauderdale, Bray McKee, and Briar O'Neill. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Gay and Vardaman James Stegall; brother, Willie Ab Stegall; and sister, Cinda Buntyn. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Woodland Park Baptist Church, 1909 J W Davis Dr., Hammond, Louisiana 70403, on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held at Woodland Park Baptist Church on Tuesday morning beginning at 9:00 am and continuing until the service time of 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Rose Memorial Park Cemetery, Hammond, Louisiana.
