Reg "Poppy" RobairAge: 76 • BurlingtonBurlington- Reginald D. Robair, 76, died unexpectedly at UVM Medical Center on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017.He was born on Aug. 17, 1941 in Burlington, the son of Lawrence J. And Yvonne (St. Martin) Robair. He had been employed as a Mason in the construction field and retired from General Dynamics as a Vicer Specialist. He had served as president of the I.U.E. Union, Local No. 248 for 20 years. From 1960-1968, Reg served honorably as a medic with the VT Army National Guard. He was very active and will be well remembered for his 40 plus years of tireless efforts in U.S.S.S.A. softball, as well as being an avid Dodgers baseball fan.In retirement, Reg was a crossing guard at Edmonds School and a driver for Custom Currier.He is survived by his beloved wife, Marcia; 4 children and spouses/partners: Holly & Jim Mann; Lawrence & Melissa Robair, Karen Robair & Gary Pecor, Carrie Robair & Tony Monroe and his special nephew and wife, George & Lisa Benton; his 10 cherished grandchildren: Reggie, Ricky, Brian, Corey, Tori, Lissa , Kelsey, Riley, Samuel and the special relationship Poppy had with Becca and her son, Emmett. He also leaves 4 other great grandsons: Karson, Kalon, Brody and Beckett; his brother & wife, Ronald & Cyleste Robair; his sister and husband, Pauline & Allyn James; his sister-in-law, Joan Robair; brothers-in-law: Ronald & Cheryl, Gerald & Anne and Howard & Sandy Wilcox and several nieces, nephews and cousins.He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Joyce and his brother, Richard Robair.A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 11 a.m. in St. Mark's Church, North Ave. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery, Milton.Visitation is on Friday, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Elmwood-Meunier Funeral Home, 97 Elmwood Ave.Those wishing may send Memorial Contributions to either Camp Ta-Kum-Ta 77 Sunset View Rd., So.
