REGINALD M. MILLER, 87 FREEPORT - Reginald M. Miller, 87, of Freeport, and formerly of German Valley, died Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at F.H.N. Memorial Hospital. Reginald was born on December 25, 1925, in Stephenson County, the son of William L. and Mary (Collman) Miller. He married Dolores Beuth on February 26, 1950. Dolores died on October 22, 1998. Reginald then married Doris Dumpman on July 19, 2003, in Freeport. Reginald was a General Contractor for Reggie Miller Construction, he also farmed the family land his entire life and was a realtor broker. Reginald was a lifelong member of the Silver Creek Reformed Church, where he was a very active member. He was a member of the German Valley School Board and was past president. He also was a Regional School Board member. Reginald cherished the time he spent with families and loved ones. Surviving are his wife, Doris Miller of Freeport; two daughters, Nancy Miller and Gale Kerkhoff, both of German Valley; sister-in-law, Carol (Dick) Livingston of Janesville, WI; five grandchildren, Carolyn Barclay of Chicago, William (Carol) Hermann of Huntsville, AL., Garrett (Chavon Fairbanks) Miller of German Valley, Ryan Kerkhoff of Freeport, and Jacob Kerkhoff of German Valley. Also surviving are three great-grandchildren, Jake Barclay, Allison Barclay and Hank Miller. Reginald was preceded in death by his first wife; one brother, Wallace; and son-in-law, Ronald Kerkhoff. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday in the Silver Creek Reformed Church in German Valley. Dr. Harlan Hayunga will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 until 3 p.m. at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Burial will be in the Silver Creek Reformed Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Reginald's memory.
