Reiko Allison Age 86, passed away on March 9, 2017 in Lakewood, Washington, where she resided since 1975 with her late husband Jack (US Army, Ret). Reiko was born on November 1, 1930 in Osaka, Japan. Reiko and Jack met and married in Japan, and Reiko soon learned about all the "adventures" military life could bring. Her amazing skill at managing moves to new duty assignments kept her family grounded while they were stationed in Japan and several stateside locations. Reiko was a devoted member of the Nichiren Shoshu Temple, and her religion was a very important part of her daily life. She enjoyed attending temple services and religious pilgrimages to Japan. As a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker, Reiko will be remembered for sharing her love of knitting, cooking, sewing, and Japanese arts and crafts with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Reijyo and Shin Aoki, and her husband Jack Allison. She is survived by her sister Reiko in Japan; her daughters Miya (Michael) Croxton, Nola (Robert) Belletti, and Mona (Alan) Watson; her grandchildren Michael, Sean and Anna Claire Watson, Ian and Adam (Jessica) Croxton, and Diana and Olivia Belletti (Pat O'Neil); and great-grandchildren Stella and Elliott O'Neil, and Kasen and Kylinn Croxton. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Reiko had a sparkling personality and a generous and kind nature. We will miss her forever. A memorial service will be held on March 26th at 11:00 am in the Mountain View Funeral Home Celebration of Life Center- Aspen Chapel, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Lakewood, WA 98499.
