It was a cold day in January that Renee decided to make her appearance and become known to the world. Born and raised in Brooklyn by her mother, Rosalie Kinard Mingo, who preceded her in death, Renee has always been quiet,shy, and much laid back  

            Renee attended South Shore High School in the Canarsie area of Brooklyn.  Renee enjoyed school where one of her passions was being a relay runner for the high school track team. Although Renee was doing well in school, she left school in 1974 to pursue a career in the healthcare field so that she would be able to help her mom.  Renee moved to North Carolina for a while to give her children a different way of living. After a while,of being so far away from her family began to take a toll on her she decided to return to New York

                The one thing that we know and will always hold near is that Renee had one of the biggest hearts ever known. She opened her heart to anyone that needed love without questions, especially children. She will never visit your home alone, as she was always surrounded by a lot of children who trailed behind her lovingly
