Renee Christine RenteriaOxnard, CAIt's with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, daughter, sister and godmother, Renee Renteria. Renee was surrounded by her loving family as our Lord peacefully took her in His arms as she entered the Kingdom of Heaven on April 10, 2016. Renee was born on August 8, 1963 to Lily and Richard Carballo. She attended Rio Mesa High School and was a member of the drill team. She later married Paul Renteria, the love of her life. They were married for 28 ? beautiful years. He provided her with the care and love she needed to survive all these years. The family is eternally grateful for his constant love and support. They enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and Chumash Casino. Renee also participated in various roles with the local theatrical organization, "The Half Measures Group." She also enjoyed spending time with family members at many family gatherings. She attended many sporting events of her nieces and nephews and was very proud of their accomplishments.She was very proud and honored to serve as a Eucharistic Minister at Santa Clara Church for many years. She recently became a member of the Legions of Mary and dedicated her time to ministering to the sick and praying for the well-being of others. It was through her love for Our Lord and Blessed Mother that she spent endless hours praying the rosary and dedicating novenas for those in need.Renee impacted the lives of many family and friends through her courage, strength, faith and unending love of our Lord.Renee was preceded in death by her father, Richard Carballo. She is survived by her beloved husband, Paul Renteria, her mother, Lily J. Garcia, step-father Edward Garcia, sister Denise Beltran (Danny), brother Rick Carballo (MaryLou), sister Michele Beltran (Joe) and sister-in-law Sherry Carballo Mathers (Mark) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.Renee will be dearly missed but knowing she is now pain free and with Our Lord and Blessed Mother provides us with great comfort. Until we meet again "Ma."Special thanks to her many doctors at UCLA Medical Center for over 52 years. The family would also like to thank Pam Myner at UCLA, Dr. Michael Datlow and staff, Community Memorial Hospital doctors and nurses, nurse and cousin Michelle Bryant and Mary Flores, her wonderful, dedicated caregiver and friend. We would also like to thank all of Renee's FaceBook friends and family for their continuous support and loving prayers. She loved you all!Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 4:00pm on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the Garcia Mortuary Chapel in Oxnard. Visitation to continue from 6:00p.m. to 8:45p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 6:30p.m. at Santa Clara Church in Oxnard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Santa Clara Church.
