Renelle \"Nelly\" Marie Weeks, daughter of Alvin Satterfield and Beverly Cuffee was born on November 30, 1961 in New York, NY.
Growing up Renelle always remained independent, selfless, kind, warm-hearted, and genuine. She was raised with her younger brother, Kevin Satterfield, and the two of them were thick as thieves. Renellle and Kevin grew up in Co-op City Section 5 in the Bronx, NY. After graduating from Harry S. Truman High School in June of 1979, Renelle began working at "Wendys" where she met the Love of her Life, Lloyd Weeks Jr.
After obtaining her Associates Degree in Liberal Arts from Kingsborough Community College in 1983, Renelle and Lloyd agreed to take their relationship to the next level.
Renelle and Lloyd got married in June of 1984 and shortly after their marriage Renelle gave birth to their oldest son, Lloyd Weeks III. 7 years after Lloyd III was born, Renelle gave birth to their youngest daughter, Leah Annise Weeks.
Renelle began working at Macys in 1993. Renelle was a dedicated wife and mother who effortlessly balanced her work and home life.
Renelle and Lloyd were what most would consider a power couple and provided and amazing life for their children. The two remained in a solid, loving, and inseperable relationship and taught their children that no matter what happens, the family chain would never be broken.
Sadly on May 14 of 2010 Lloyd Weeks Jr, husband and father of Renelle, Lloyd and Leah was called home to be with the lord. Though such tragedy occured and a link from their family chain was missing, Renelle continued to be the best mom mentor and friend to both of her children and made it her daily duty that the 3 of them would always remain together.
In 2016 Renelle became a Grandmother, as her son Lloyd Weeks III welcomed a baby boy Lloyd Grayson Weeks 1V into this world, her "boo-boo" as she called him.
In 2016, after 23 years of hard work and dedication, Renelle retired from Macys as a Junior Executive. Renelle always liked to keep busy and manage her free time wisely. Shortly after retiring from Macys, Renelle began working for the City of New York as a Community Associate at CTAC in Queens, NY where she stayed an employee for 3 years.
Sadly, after 10 long years without her husband, Renelle too was called home to be with the lord on January 2, 2021.
Renelle was predeceased by her Husband Lloyd Weeks Jr. She is survived by her Son Lloyd Weeks III, Daughter Leah Annise Weeks, and Grandson Lloyd Grayson Weeks IV. She leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins, neices, nephews, extended family, and freinds who will miss her dearly.
Renelle's life was a life well lived and she will truly be missed by all of her loved ones. It was an honor to be graced with her presence, and it is an honor to be apart of her celebration of life.
We love you Nelly. This is not a good bye, this is "see you later".
