Feb. 16, 1936 - Oct. 22, 2016 IRVING, N.Y. - Retha L. Munch, a winter resident of LaBelle, passed away peacefully on Oct. 22, 2016 at home surrounded by family. Retha was born on Feb. 16, 1936 in Norwich, N.Y., the daughter of the late Darwin and Marion (Sayles) Bates. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Don Munch, who is a Special Investigator with the Hendry County Sheriff's Office. She is also survived by several children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Retha and Don are members of the Carlson Memorial United Methodist Church in LaBelle, and they have greatly enjoyed their time spent in LaBelle and Southwest Florida with family, friends, and the community.
