It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Petway, who was born on November 12, 2002, and tragically lost his life on June 8, 2024. Richard resided in Brooklyn, New York, United States.

Richard was the beloved son of Richard and Tasha Petway. He had no children of his own but was a loving son and brother and also an Uncle he also had friend many friends. He studied at Williamsburg Charter High School and proudly graduated in 2021.

Richard had a passion for basketball and spent countless hours on the court perfecting his skills. He was a dedicated player and a fierce competitor, always giving his all in every game.

Unfortunately, Richard's life was taken far too soon due to gun violence. His untimely death has left a void in the hearts of all who knew him.

Richard will be remembered for his kind heart, infectious smile, and unwavering determination. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the community he was a part of.

May he rest in peace.
