Richard (RP) Rawlings, 60, of Moorpark, California, passed on December 14, 2020. Before he could walk, Richard was taking radios and televisions apart (no, really!) and always had a knack for telling a great story while repairing your broken TV. While not repairing TVs at his own shop in the San Fernando Valley or working in a shop for 10+ years in Palm Springs, CA, Richard (RP) was busy repairing and building classic cars and all-terrain vehicles and raising consecutive foster daughters and helping to raise both his older sister's daughters during their turbulent adolescent years. RP's specialty was telling you 'how it is' and always with a sense of humor and a great grin when he realized you had gotten the joke, or enjoyed the song he played for you on his electric piano. RP did not consider material things important and this attitude occasionally caused him to be at the mercy of the gracious benevolence of his family and friends, not the least of which is his best buddy Ty, who housed him for years and then took care of him for the last 6 months as his health deteriorated after a bout with Covid-19. Richard loved Jesus and we know he is with his adored father Richard and mother Mary in Heaven. He is gone too soon, and is dearly missed, survived by his two older sisters, Mary Rios (Louis), Boni Hamilton (Kirk), his nieces Rhiannon, Allison, Samantha and nephew Christian.
You can to the family or in memory of Richard (RP) Rawlings.
