Richard "Dick" CameronZANESVILLE: Richard "Dick" Moore Cameron, 77 of Zanesville died at 10:30 PM Saturday, December 3, 2016 at his residence following a lengthy battle with Parkinson's.He was born on July 4, 1939 in Zanesville the son of Henry Manoah Cameron and Virginia Moore Cameron.Dick was a graduate of the Zanesville High School class of 1957 and a 1961 graduate of Muskingum College. Dick was a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. He was co-owner & operator, along with his brother James, of Cameron Drilling Company. He was a member of the Ohio Oil & Gas Association and inducted in to the Hall of Fame in 2011. He was a lifetime member of the Amrou Grotto, Scottish Rite, Valley of Cambridge. He is survived by Barbara (Sidwell) Cameron; his four children, Clint (Cindy) Cameron, Andy (Cathy Parker) Cameron, Cara (David) Smith and Dow (Kathryn Shatto) Cameron all of Zanesville; 9 grandchildren, Curt Cameron, Clay Cameron, Cole Cameron, Cassidy Smith, Cameron Smith, Dow "Little Dow" Cameron Jr., Samantha Cameron, Jessi Smith & Lauren Alton; a brother James "Jim" (Joan) Cameron of Zanesville; a sister Susan Gormley of Zanesville; and several nieces & nephews, cousins, and many many friends. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents, by a brother-in -law, Judge Joseph Gormley. Friends may call 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, December 6th, 2016 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home where funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, December 7th with Rev. Allan D. Teter officiating.
