GERMANRichard D. Richard D. German, age 90, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2016 at , Toledo. He was born on March 20, 1926 to Teofil and Stella (Yardar) German in Toledo. Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving his country in WWII. He was always finding ways to make people laugh. Richard truly was a jokester, which will be missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 60 years, Clare; and siblings, Alvin German, Adeline Walser, Mary Jane Kellar and Doris Jakubowski. Richard is survived by his loving daughters, Susan (Michael) Kern and Carol German; grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas, Kimberly and Patrick Kern and Matthew and Jeffrey (Ashley Solomon) German-Lortie; great-granddaughter, Amelia Kern; and many other family members and friends. The family would like to give a special thank you to Richard's nieces, MaryAnn and DorisAnn German for all of their love, care, visits, taking dad for ice cream and just spending time with him.
