Richard "Dick" Fine age 69 passed away on September 26, 2007 after a short illness. He was born on August 9, 1938 in Ellensburg, WA where he lived and worked for most of his life. Dick attended local schools until they moved to Sunnyside. It was there he graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1957. He worked for five years at Boise Cascade Saw Mill in Ellensburg in the early 1960's and retired in 1997 after working for 30 years as a heavy equipment operator for the Kittitas County Road Department. There were few home improvement projects that Dick wasn't willing to tackle for family and friends. He was also an avid fisherman and gardener. Dick was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Dick is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Linda; children, Richard Fine Jr and his wife Patricia; Jane Sieg and her husband Al; Edward Fine and his wife Monica; Jeanette Wagers and her husband Scott; Erika DenBoer; mother, Ruby Newcomb; brother, Harold Fine; sisters, Yvonne Goetz and Joanne Drebaum; and 12 grandchildren, Richard III, Daniel, Keana, Kelly, Zachary, Joshua, Emily, Samantha, Gracelyn, Scotty, Johnny and Tanner. He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Fine. Family and friends are invited to Graveside services that will be held at the IOOF Cemetery in Ellensburg on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at 2 pm. Arrangements are under the care of Steward & Williams Tribute and Cremation Center in Ellensburg.
