Richard G. Fech 68Richard G. Fech 68 of Lafayette unexpectedly passed away at 3:50 PM Sunday November 6th at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. Richard was born on October 12, 1948, in Litchfield, Montgomery County, Illinois to the late George and Loretta (Ray) Fech. His first marriage was to Martha A. (Cramer) Johnston and they later divorced. He then married Malinda R. Dilks. He is survived by his wife, Malinda R. Dilks-Fech; his sister Gloria Bahr (John Burns), his children Richard A. Fech, Michael E. Fech (Pamela J.), Russell G. Fech, Thomas J. Fech (Janii L.H.), Sherry Emmons (Rich), and Christina Romano (Bill); his grandchildren Thalia Fech, Jeremy Fech, Toby Fech, Angela Romano, Jessica Romano, Nathanael Wayman (Audrey), Stephanie Booher (Jamey), Matthew Wayman; and nine great-grandchildren. After graduating in 1966 from Livingston High School in Livingston, Illinois, he moved to Indiana and worked most of his adult life for the railroads, retiring as a regional manager from CSX Railroad. Richard enjoyed fishing, hunting, karaoke, Elvis, and going to casinos with friends. He was loved by his family and friends for his humor and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.Visitation will be 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, November 11, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel followed by funeral service at 2:00 PM.
