Richard Johnson, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on April 23, 2024 in Mesa, Arizona. He was born on September 1, 1937 to John and Elizabeth Johnson.

Richard married his loving wife Delores in 1964 and they shared a beautiful life together. They were blessed with three children: Cynthia DeVine, Tricia Blomquist (spouse Scott), and Gregory Johnson.

Richard had a successful career as a Metallurgical engineer. He studied at Negaunee High School, graduating in 1955, and went on to attend Michigan Technological University, where he graduated in 1959.

In his free time, Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing, finding solace in the great outdoors. Even though Richard and Delores moved away from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in 1978, he returned many times to fish and hunt at his deer camp. He was proud to be considered a Yooper.

A graveside service will be held on June 15, 2024 at 1 pm at the Negaunee Cemetery. All are welcome.
