Richard Lee HarrisonWashingtonRichard Lee Harrison, age 70, passed away from esophageal cancer on Friday, September 1, 2017. He was born on December 19, 1946 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah to Dewayne and Emma Harrison. He married Myrna Draper in Mt. Pleasant, and they had 3 children. They later divorced. In 1985 he married Linda Albright in Long Beach, California, and they had 2 children. Dick graduated from North Sanpete High School, Snow College, and the University of Utah, from which he received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He spent many years working as an electrical engineer for oil companies in Texas and California. He was a talented wood-worker, and he made many beautiful pieces of furniture for his family.Dick is survived by his loving wife Linda; his children Keith (Diana) Harrison, Kristi (John) Lassa, Laurie (Phil) Scalley, Scott Harrison, and Renee Harrison; his grandchildren; his sister Connie (Robert) Wakefield; his sister-in-law Pamela (Richard) Plummer; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Zachary Reese, Dr. Spencer Ashton, and all of the nurses and staff at the Cancer Center, as well as the nurses and staff, especially Emily and Scott, on the oncology floor of Dixie Regional Medical Center. Additionally, the family is grateful for the kind and caring help from Dixie Hospice, especially nurses Karin, Ashley, and Liz.A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, 1072 E. 900 S., St. George, UT.
