Richard Harry Franks, 63 of Tucson, AZ joined his family in Heaven on June 11, 2024 after a short battle with MDS leukemia.

Richard was born in Tomah, WI on Feb 16, 1961 to Harry W. & Mary N. Franks. Richard's family moved several times while growing up and finally settled in Cameron, WI where he graduated from Cameron High School. There he met the love of his life, Raylene Coyer. After graduation he joined the US Army, serving six years as a heavy equipment operator in Ft. Drum, NY and Karlsruhe, Germany. During this time, he and Raylene married on June 14, 1980. In 1983, the pair moved to Tucson, AZ and built their life together. Richard worked construction then attended a local technical college studying electronics. After looking through the phonebook and calling around, he found his work family at the Specialists where he worked for 36 years. Richard retired on April 4, 2024 where he left behind an incredible legacy of his strong work ethic and positive spirit. Richard's favorite things included playing with his dog, Dexter and watching & attending NASCAR races! He loved tinkering, building and fixing just about anything and never failed to figure out how to do it. He was always happy and excited to help anyone who needed it!

Richard is survived by his FOREVER LOVE/wife Raylene ("Sweetie Head") and their four legged kids, Dex, Pepe & Brutus. His sister- Joanne Larson, sister in law - Cathlene Farmer (Dan), in laws - Raymond and Marlene Coyer, Nieces - Sheri Eakins (Matt) & kids, Nadia and Mason, Brenda Kubista (Jerry) & son Dustin. Nephews - Robert Larson (Taya) & daughter, Brinley, Andrew Kubista & daughter Lorelei. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Willard Franks and Mary Nadia (Palamaruk) Franks, his sister Carol Anne Kubista, brother in laws Donald W. Larson and Daniel W. Kubista.

Richard will be laid to rest at a later date at Pine Grove Cemetery in Cameron, WI. In lieu of flowers, please give blood, platelets or plasma to the American Red Cross in Richard's honor.

Richard was our tower of strength and support in any situation and he will FOREVER be remembered, loved and missed!

Your true love for each other was an example of how a relationship should be. Richard was one of a kind, for sure. He touched many lives even beyond what we know. Let us remember him with a smile and warm thoughts.

The love between Richard and Raylene was more beautiful than a Hallmark movie. Richard was so dedicated to the life which they had created. He was always willing to help others and lend his expertise when needed. He will be so missed by all who were lucky enough to have met him. Much love-Abby and Mark
