Dick was born on November 12, 1923 in Los Angeles, CA. During WWII he proudly served with the US Army Air Corps. Dick also enjoyed a 30 year career with SMUD. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Audrey R. (Neely) Ewing in 1978 and his second wife Louise (Varner) Ewing in 2005. Dick passed away on Nov. 4th, at his home of 70+ years with his family at his side. He is survived by his sister, Ruth Mitchell of Iowa, his son Michael (Paula) Ewing, daughter, Terriann (Les) Danner, step-son Stu (Kathy) Varner, 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Friday, Nov. 18th, 2016 at 2 PM at the East Lawn Memorial Park Chapel, 4300 Folsom Blvd., Sac., Interment with Military Honors to follow.
