Richard Keogh HazelGreenbackville -Richard Keogh Hazel, 70, of Greenbackville, Virginia, passed away on Monday April 3,2017 peacefully at his residence. He was born on October 15,1946 in Manhattan, New York. He attended St Gregory's College in Shawnee, Oklahoma and St John's University in Queens, New York. He worked 20 years for New York Telephone, then as President of Payline Communications and then as a Manager in New York for AT&T as real-estate site acquisition for emergency communications following the downing of the World Trade Center. His passion in retirement was his family and then golf. Although he lived alone in retirement his constant companion was his Border Collie, Buddy, taking him for his 2 hour morning walks while saying his morning prayers. He will be missed by his many friends at the Captain's Cove development in Greenbackville and his friends from Mineola, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Louise Keogh Hazel. He is survived by his children Victoria and James Boland of Singapore, Richard and Christine Palamar of Long Island NY, John of Long Island NY, Jacqueline and Anthony Workosky of Mineola NY and Joseph and Nikole Nudo of Astoria NY and 6 grandchildren. He leaves his brothers Albert of Lagrangeville, NY, George and Deborah Norman of Stanfordville, NY and his beloved twin Robert and Tamara of Palm City, Fl., and many cousins, nieces and nephews. A mass of Christian burial celebrated by Dick's cousin, Msgr George Ryan, will take place on June 10th, 2017 at St Denis Church, Hopewell Jct, NY with burial to follow in the family grave at St Denis.
